How does your grandma do with technology?
Does she even have a computer? Desktop? Laptop? iPad? iPod? Smart phone? Bluetooth headset? Does she know that technology exists? Do you even talk to your grandma? Because you should.
Well *clearing my throat*… My grandma sent me a selfie.
You read it right. Though, she spelled it “self fee”.
I’d say that my grandma is a pretty DAMN TECH-PROFESSIONAL at this point. She even sends me coherent book-length text messages frequently. Her daughter (my mother) can hardly figure out how to work a smart phone but SHE has it mastered. I never even have to decipher any made-up text acronyms like the ones I receive from some special mother-in-law… *cough-cough, the.mother.of.my.husband*
Did I mention that my grandma celebrated her
71st 17th birthday yesterday? Now, that’s one smart cookie! My grandma (my Nany) is a super cool, tech-hipster. Happy 17th year of life to her! And many more to come!
She was worried her “self fee” would break my phone.
Mine must have broke hers because she hasn’t responded yet.
Disclaimer: It would be wrong to avoid disclaiming that my Aunt Ladybug and I are frequently called upon for our personal tech-help desk services, and that therefore, the tech-professional label is inaccurate. Everything else stated in this post is true.
